The audio of Khushbu’s Nagaram was launched on Saturday amidst much fanfare.But, at the same time, the security at the venue was also tight because it was Chief Minister M Karunanidhi who presided over the event and released the audio CD.
Dancer Mariam and the heroine of the film, Anuya (of SMS fame), entertained the audience by performing to numbers from the film. Few comedy sequences from the movie, starring Vadivelu, were also screened.
Speaking on the occasion, Sundar C said, “I’m happy to have Kalaignar release the audio of the film, in which I’ve played the lead. I’m also excited that Kamal, whom I consider my guru, has taken time off from his busy shooting schedule to attend the event.”
Vairamuthu, who’s penned the lyrics for this album, praised both Kalaignar and Sundar C for having a good sense of humour.
Nagaram, also directed by Sundar C, has music by Thaman.
