Apple iPad may be the headline grabber when it comes to tablets, but Kindle has been the king of e-book readers. 
To take on the Kindle’s way of things an ex. Amazon employee, Vishal Mehta from India, has developed the Infibeam Pi, an e-reader featuring a E-Ink display. Supporting Word, PDF and a micro USB port to connect to a PC, the Pi can be used to download e-books from infibeam.com. Available on pre-order now, the Pi will be shipped in February for Rs. 10,000 (approx. $200), that’s comparatively cheaper than the Kindle. With a 6-inch E-Ink display, the Pi is less than 10mm thick and under 180gm in weight. It has a capacity to store upto 500 e-books and for more comes with 4GB SD card. Touting a powerful battery that goes on for days before recharging, the Pi to all Indians delight supports 13 Indian languages. Hit the jump to see a few more images.
