There is Shah Rukh Khan for Dish TV, Aamir Khan for Tata Sky, so the big question at a recently held press conference was, why not another Khan for Videocon’s d2h service. “If you want, I will leave this event right away,” quipped Abhishek Bachchan, the line that left everyone in splits.
To this Mr Anil Khera added, “SRK is already endorsing another range of Videocon products but before anyone could get there, Abhishek quickly said, “I am not replacing Shah Rukh. I am only a new inclusion in the Videocon family.
Along with educating the media with the new technology, the CEO also came to Abhishek’s rescue on many occasions when he was being hounded by journos. Answering the intelligent press about the product, Anil Khera, said, “The consumer can choose from an offering of 244 channels and services. All in all, we expect our value added products and services to provide an unparallel viewing experience backed by supreme technological innovation for the consumers”.
Bored by his answer, a someone asked, “Why didn’t you take Salman Khan as the brand ambassador?” To this Khera said, “Abhishek makes a perfect match with the Videocon dth brand attributes of innovation and high quality entertainment. As a brand’s face, he will be instrumental in communicating the benefits to consumers across the country.”
Even Abhishek had a lot of knowledge about the new product. Apparently he was personally using it in his house for the last one month. Despite the media asking out of context questions, Bachchan junior didn’t have a frown on his face. He enjoyed answering every question with elan.
